Come celebrate Autumn with us during our hands-on Clay Pumpkin class! Learn essential clay techniques from our studio ceramist while building your own unique pumpkin in this two part class. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.
How it works:
This is a step by step instructed Clay Encounter that is intended for ages 13 and up. This price includes the Glaze Encounter which will occur at a later date after the bisque firing process is complete. During the Clay Encounter you will learn to construct your pumpkin. We anticipate this to take approximately 1.5 hours.
You will be contacted once the bisque firing process is complete. At that time, you will be provided a 2 week schedule to return for the Glaze Encounter. In this step, you will learn to glaze your pumpkin. Your piece will then be glaze fired. At that time, you'll receive a one week schedule for pick.
Things to note:
-We strongly suggest that you cut your nails short.
-No prior experience is required.
-Participants ages 13-16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
-Workshop will be held at the WPG DIY Studio located at 315 N Clinton Ave, Saint Johns, MI 48879 unless otherwise stated.
-Just as each artist is unique, your finished pottery will be as well.
-You may bring food and beverages but remember that clay is dirt and it gets everywhere.
-Dress to get messy! Aprons are available.
-If you are unable to participate in a Glaze Encounter during the two week schedule that is provided, you may be subject to a $10 glazing fee upon return. All projects left in the studio for more than 90 days are considered a donation. We appreciate your understanding that our studio has limited space. Keeping orders to a minimum helps us provide a better experience for all artists.
